Make a substructure for the planned use of approx. 15 – 45 cm thickness
Create a 2-4 cm thick chippings laying bed (grain size 2 – 5 mm) on the gravel base layer.
Take TERRA-GRID E® 35 paddock grids from the pallet.
Lay with the closed side facing down.
Lay out and align in the first layer.
Keep a distance of 3 – 5 cm from fixed fixtures (curbstones, columns, etc.).
Connect the panels by a simple click mechanism, using the foot to firmly snap the mats to the existing layers.
Fill the open chambers with suitable backfill material and overfill by approx. 2 cm.
You have successfully installed TERRA-GRID E® 35 paddock grid on a substructure with ease.
Our specially designed TERRA-GRID E® 35+ are used for laying without a substructure in horse stables.
They are equipped with offset mounted additional plates on the underside to prevent the floor system from sinking.
Level out any major unevenness before laying. Laying the 1st plate directly on the topsoil.
Connect the panels by a simple click mechanism, using the foot to firmly snap the mats to the existing layers from the outside in.
Attention, the individual plates must be put on exactly fitting
be!
Proceed in this way when creating each new plate. Make sure that all bars of the separating plate are in the chambers of the grids.
Then fill the grids. It is recommended to use washed sand with grain size
0-2 mm (no broken sand – due to the sharp edges).
Backfilling is carried out “overhead”, i.e. vehicles used drive onto the backfilled grids.
It is advisable to finish off the area with a sand barrier made of
round timber to stabilize the whole construction and at the same time force the horses to “lift their feet”.
