The following structure is particularly suitable for paddocks and riding arenas that are driven over with normal equipment.
Due to the small chamber structure of the TERRA-GRID E® 35 paddock grids, an attachment is also suitable for foals, llamas and cattle.
This design is particularly well suited for run outs and riding places, which are driven with normal equipment.
Residual decay – No civil engineering work – Secured drainage without draining – High load capacity

Paddock plates for laying without substructure. In this example, the known problem is the lack of water drainage which leads to muddy paddocks and horses residing in mud. The area is only rented and the owner does not want any substructure.
This is no problem with TERRA-GRID E® 35+ without substructure. The old paddock is slightly embedded, if possible with a gradient so that the water can drain again, directly thereafter the TERRA-GRID E® 35+ is installed and filled up with washed natural sand grain 0 – 4 mm. As a result, the horses can look forward to a dry and resistant paddock.
This paddock was built on the slope with our TERRA-GRID E® 35 and substructure. In accordance with our building recommendation, the classic three-layer method which includes the support layer, separation layer with paddock plates and pedal layer with washed natural sand.
Completely supplied by us, geotextile, TERRA-GRID E® 35 riding placemats and riding-surfaces with additives for all-round use. With round pebble filling and pedal layer from the house Novus: HM. This riding arena was situated in a steep position, the supporting layer consisting of fleece Rogeo 200 and frost protection gravel, serves as a drainage system.
Over the years, drainage had ceased to function. We supplied geotextile Rogeo 200 and TERRA-GRID E® 35 for the quick and competent renovation of an existing riding arena.
Due to the elevation which was situated opposite the existing site, drainage was no longer necessary. The riding field now runs flat.
Beautiful new building of a riding and movement hall with everything from a single source, we carried out the complete services and manufacturing for the sub-base of TERRA-GRID E® 35. We executed the laying and filling with round pebbles from TERRA-GRID E® 35 as riding placemats, applying a laser-accurate planking of the riding surface with special additives.
It is clear that the riding surface in the riding hall has gotten old and the drainage of the hall was defective.
After intensive soil exchange in the base layer, a new separation layer with TERRA-GRID E® 35 was installed.
After many years, the riders are still enthusiastic about the excellent properties of TERRA-GRID E® 35 in the rehabilitation of riding arenas.
We are not limited to offering solutions for horses as this paddock is used to facilitate donkeys.
Due to the small chamber structure of TERRA-GRID E® 35, an attachment is also ideally suitable for foals, lamas and cattle.
